God Directs Us in the Right Path

The Israelites were once slaves working for Pharaoh until Moses brought them out of Egypt. Then the Israelites witnessed some amazing things, but still they tested God. It was sad but true and because of their disobedience they were kept in the desert for 40 years! That is a long, long time. Imagine if you were trapped in the wilderness for 40 years. It was probably hard.

Let’s look at Hebrews 3:12: “Take care brethren that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.” God is trying to tell them to not fall away and yet, sometimes people still do.

Now let’s look at Hebrews 3:13-14: “But encourage one another day, after day as long as it is still called today so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end.” Look at what God is saying. If we encourage one another in the ways of God we will go to heaven. We should help one another and read the bible to learn what’s right. We can do bible studies, encourage people to help others, or send gifts. If you have a friend and their house burned down or they lost a loved one, then you should go for comfort or send money for a house.

Lets look at Hebrews 4:11: “Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fail, through following the same example of disobedience.” God is saying that we need to try really hard to go to heaven. Don’t go on the wrong path, it may seem right but it’s not. It’s the path of sin, don’t take it.

Let’s look at Hebrews 3:7-9: “Therefore just as the Holy Spirit says, Today if you hear His voice do not harden your hearts as when they provoked Me as in the day of trial in the wilderness where your fathers tried Me by testing Me and saw My works for 40 years.” God is saying don’t turn away from the Christian ways, you should stay on the right path. Stay on Gods path and you will get to go to Heaven.
